AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Royal Badia Forces have arrested a suspect who allegedly robbed three Arabs recently in the Southern Badia region, the Public Security Department (PSD) said Thursday.
Investigators tracked down the suspect, wanted for 22 crimes including theft and “forming criminal gangs”, after the three Arabs, who were in a car, were intercepted by anonymous assailants who stole their car and money.
CID and badia forces found the suspect hiding in the desert and arrested him, according to the PSD. The suspect, who was found in possession of a weapon, live ammunition, and four mobile phones, confessed to stealing the vehicle, mobiles and passports of the three Arabs with the help of two accomplices.
Investigators found the vehicle the suspects used and a search is under way for the remaining accomplices and the stolen car, the PSD said.
