Six suspected thieves arrested in Jerash, Irbid

AMMAN — Agents at the Northern Region Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested six people in Jerash and Irbid on suspicion of robbing houses and shops, the Public Security Department (PSD) announced on Tuesday.
Jerash CID personnel identified one man suspected of robbing houses in the governorate, the PSD said in a statement, adding that CID officers arrested the suspect, who confessed to committing the thefts, alongside three others who were also arrested. The main suspect confessed to robbing seven houses, along with the other three suspects.
CID agents searched the residence of the main suspect and found several items which had been reported stolen. Meanwhile, Irbid CID personnel arrested two suspects on suspicion of stealing electronic devices and mobile phones. The stolen devices were retrieved and sent back to their owners, while the suspects were referred to court.
