SSC retirees to receive pensions before Eid

AMMAN — The Social Security Corporation has decided to pay the pensions of retirees before Eid Al Fitr, the Muslim feast marking the end of Ramadan, SSC Director General Nadia Rawabdeh said Sunday.

She added that the pensions will be in the 173,000 retirees’ bank accounts on July 13, so that they can buy their necessities for Eid. The bill to pay July’s salaries amounted to JD61 million, Rawabdeh noted.
