Six killed in traffic accidents holiday throughout eid

AMMAN — The eid holiday witnessed numerous incidents that resulted in a number of deaths, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. On Monday morning, four people died in a run-over accident on Zarqa road, the media office in the Civil Defence Department (CDD) said, noting that the rescue team in Zarqa Governorate transferred the bodies to Prince Faisal Hospital.
Meanwhile, a 61-year-old man died and another was injured in a collision that occurred on Sunday near the town of Muhammadiyah in Maan Governorate, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, quoted Maan’s hospital director Walid Rowad as saying. in Mughir area, one person was killed and three others were injured after a pickup truck derailed off the road.
During the past 24 hours, the CDD dealt with 255 different accidents through its various centres, which resulted in 99 injuries, the CDD said in a statement, adding that 590 health emergency cases were handled as well.
