Senate president, Swedish ambassador discuss ties, region

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Wednesday met Swedish Ambassador Alexandra Rydmark over bilateral relations and regional issues, notably the Palestinian cause.
Fayez, during the meeting, emphasised the importance of advancing Jordanian-Swedish relations, mainly in the political, cultural and economic fields, expressing keenness to build mutual partnerships in various sectors.
He also expressed appreciation for Sweden’s support for Jordan and UNRWA.
He called for increasing trade exchange, establishing joint investments and boosting the number of Swedish tourists to Jordan, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
The Swedish diplomat lauded the bilateral relations between the countries, expressing appreciation for the Kingdom’s efforts towards the refugees and highlighting its pivotal role to bring peace and resolve regional crises.
