Senate president meets with Emirati, Turkish ambassadors

AMMAN — Senate President Faisal Fayez on Tuesday highlighted the depth of Jordanian-Emirati relations, describing them as “strategic on all levels” and based on mutual respect. While receiving the Emirati Ambassador to Jordan Ahmad Balloushi, Fayez expressed appreciation for the UAE’s support for the Kingdom in facing economic challenges, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The official said that Jordan and Arab Gulf states present strategic advantages for each other, underlining the importance of political and economic integration and the integration of investments. Balloushi commended the “historic” relations between the two countries, adding that the UAE is keen on strengthening these relations and building on them.
Fayez also received Turkish Ambassador to Jordan Murat Karagoz and discussed Jordanian-Turkish cooperation, addressing the Syrian crisis and the Palestinian cause among other issues ongoing in the region. Karagoz praised Jordan’s role in establishing peace in the region under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah, highlighting that Turkey is keen on strengthening relations with the Kingdom in all arenas.
