AMMAN — The Saudi embassy in Amman on Thursday held a forum on Jordan’s participation in the G20 meetings that Saudi Arabia will host and chair next November.
Saudi Ambassador to Jordan Nayef Sudairi said that inviting Jordan to take part in the G20 summit reflects Riyadh’s keenness to further enhance its relations with Amman and to provide Jordan with an opportunity to benefit from the event, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Sudairi, during the forum, which was attended by several ministers, economists and journalists, referred to the “deep-rooted and historic” relations between the two countries. The ambassador praised the “brotherly ties” between Riyadh and Amman, wishing the Kingdom continued progress and prosperity.
For their parts, the ministers expressed their appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s positions that “always support” Jordan under various circumstances to help it overcome economic hardships that have emerged from regional unrest, mainly in the last decade, according to Petra.
