Saqqaf, Irish envoy discuss means to boost investment

AMMAN — Jordan encourages Irish investments in the local market, Minister of Investment Kholoud Saqqaf said on Tuesday, expressing the ministry's readiness to help Irish companies by introducing them to the Jordanian market and sharing necessary economic data with them. 

During her meeting with Irish Ambassador to Jordan Marianne Bolger over enhancing economic cooperation between both countries, Saqqaf highlighted various investment opportunities in the IT, industrial, health, agriculture and service sectors, calling to increase Jordanian exports to the Irish markets, according to a ministry statement. 

The diplomat expressed her country's keenness to advance Jordanian-Irish economic partnership, commending the Kingdom's efforts towards economic reform. 

The volume of Irish investments in Jordan's service and industrial sectors is estimated at $25 million.
