Safadi, UN Special Envoy to Syria discuss relief efforts

AMMAN — Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and UN Special Envoy to Syria Geir Pedersen on Tuesday discussed the humanitarian situation in Syria and relief efforts to support those affected by the earthquake that recently struck different parts of the country. Safadi and Pedersen, who arrived in Amman after his visit to Damascus, also addressed the need to reach a political solution to the Syrian crisis, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
