AMMAN — The Royal Naval Force Command on Sunday launched the International Maritime Exercise (IMX-23), carried out by the US Fifth Fleet Command with the participation of 43 countries, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The naval drills aim to bolster naval security systems, especially among Visit, Board, Search, and Seizure (VBSS) teams and Remotely Underwater Vehicles (ROV), which are operated by Jordanian Operations Centre for Unmanned Systems (JROC).
Carried out in the Red Sea, Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Oman and western Indian Ocean, IMX is considered one of the largest and most important regional and international naval exercises.
