Royal Court chief attends ambassador’s funeral

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Royal Court Chief Yousef Issawi on Friday attended the funeral of Ahmad Jaradat, the Jordanian ambassador to Algeria, who was laid to rest in north Amman cemetery.
Issawi conveyed His Majesty’s condolences to Jaradat’s family, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Jaradat died on Tuesday of a sudden illness. He began his career with the Foreign Ministry in 1982 as a diplomatic attaché and later worked as a diplomat on missions to Beijing, Muscat, Tripoli, Sanaa and Cairo, in addition to serving as an ambassador to Yemen and Algeria.
