AMMAN — Royal Jordanian (RJ) said on Saturday it has received new instructions from the US Customs and Border Protection to temporarily halt the travel ban of seven previously-barred nationalities to enter the US. The countries are: Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen, Iran and Somalia, according to an RJ statement.
The instructions are effective starting from Saturday. The new instructions came after a judge suspended the US president’s order to ban the aforementioned nationals from entering the US.
The airline said it will resume flights carrying the nationals of the mentioned countries as long as they present valid US visas or Green Cards. RJ operates direct flights from Amman to New York, Chicago and Detroit.
