Regional conflicts driving attention away from Palestinian issue — minister
By Petra - Aug 29,2015 - Last updated at Aug 29,2015
AMMAN — Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Khaled Kalaldeh on Saturday said Jordan, its people, security institutions and the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army all work together to achieve peace and security.
Kalaldeh made his remarks while deputising for Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour at the conference “Jordan Amidst a Changing Regional Environment — Scenarios of the Next Phase”, organised by Al Quds Centre for Political Studies and the Applied Science University.
He said the region’s future will be characterised by a continuation of civil and sectarian wars, and refugee crises. All these developments have all caused a decline in the interest in the region’s central issue — the Palestinian cause, Kalaldeh said.
