AMMAN — Prime Minister Omar Razzaz on Monday decided to form a committee chaired by Justice Minister Bassam Talhouni to analyse international human rights conventions and indicate the need for amending or enacting new laws in line with international conventions, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The committee will also study harmony between national legislations and regional, international human rights conventions ratified by Jordan.
The committee will comprise a number of relevant ministers and officials, who will work towards the government’s vision to advance human rights, as stated by the Government Coordinator for Human Rights Basel Tarawneh earlier this year.
