Rawabdeh inaugurates German-Jordanian centre for labour mobility

AMMAN — Minister of Labour Nadia Rawabdeh on Tuesday inaugurated the German-Jordanian Centre for Labour Mobility for Jordanians seeking to work in Germany.
Rawabdeh said that was established upon directives from His Majesty King Abdullah following his recent visit to Berlin, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The centre's primary mission is to ease the process for qualified and skillful Jordanian workers to access the German job market, offering them information and training opportunities to meet specific skill requirements.
During the official ceremony, held in the presence of German Federal Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Svenja Schulze, Rawabdeh stressed the government's commitment to bolstering cooperation with Germany, with a focus on enhancing vocational and technical training programs in Jordan and employing qualified Jordanian professionals in Germany.
Schulze said that the centre's inauguration marked a "significant" step towards generating employment prospects for skilled Jordanian workers and meeting the needs of the German labour market for specialised expertise.
