Rawabdeh discusses Chinese role in region with visiting delegation

AMMAN — Senate President Abdur-Ra’uf S. Rawabdeh on Friday received Chairperson of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Yu Zhengsheng at Queen Alia International Airport.

Rawabdeh expressed Jordan’s appreciation of China’s growing role in the region and the world.

Zhengsheng praised bilateral relations between China and Jordan and joint work to serve the interests of both countries.

Chinese Ambassador to Jordan Gao Yusheng, who attended the meeting, said Jordan plays an important political role in the region, characterised by moderation in a turbulent area.
