AMMAN — Al Hayat Centre for Civil Society Development, which includes Parliament and the elected councils’ watchdog Rased, has recommended introducing constitutional amendments on some articles pertaining to Parliament, its director general, Amer Bani Amer, said on Tuesday.
He called for amending an article related to the term of the Lower House speaker to increase it to two years instead of one year.
The second amendment is related to increasing the number of deputies who can submit a memo to request withdrawing confidence in government from 10 to 30.
