AMMAN — The Jordan Integrity and Anti-corruption Commission (JIACC), in cooperation with the Hayat Centre for Civil Society Development (Rased), on Monday launched the National Integrity Index, designed to measure the compliance of public administration institutions with national standards of integrity, anti-corruption and corruption prevention.
During a press conference, Chairman of the JIACC Muhannad Hijazi said that the newly launched project, which targets 100 bodies and institutions, aims to enhance the commission's partnership with civil society organisations in combating corruption, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Amer Bani Amer, director general of Rased, said that the project will help build workers' capabilities in the government and semi-government institutions, noting that the index targets the institutions' administrations. JIACC and Rased signed a memorandum of understanding intended to boost cooperation and raise awareness in anti-corruption.
