AMMAN — Professional associations, societies, commissions and unions have agreed to launch “the national coalition for economic institutions”, which aims at unifying efforts on issues of interest to the national economy, mainly reaching a consensual version of the Income Tax Law.
President of the Foodstuff Traders Association Khalil Haj Tawfiq, president of the coalition, on Thursday said that participants in the bloc have a unified stance on the income tax draft law, which, they believe, will add extra burdens on citizens and economic sectors, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Haj Tawfiq said that everybody is aware of exceptional economic circumstances facing the Kingdom, which requires joining efforts to overcome such challenges and maintain achievements.
