AMMAN — HRH Princess Sumaya, chairperson of the board of trustees of Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT), on Saturday attended the launch of the “SHERO Conference”, organised by PSUT’s Queen Rania Centre for Entrepreneurship (QRCE) as part of the 13th version of the “Global Entrepreneurship Week”.

The conference, the name of which was conjugated from the word “hero”, sheds light on women competencies in various fields, as well as shedding light on women’s accomplishments in the labour market, and her role in boosting economy and sustainable development.

During the opening ceremony, Princess Sumaya expressed her happiness to talk about PSUT’s success story, stressing that the university’s objective throughout the years was not granting degrees, but developing competencies, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

The princess also reviewed the university’s accomplishments and successes on local and global stages. The university cadre has taught the students how to think, not what to think, to build an innovative generation for a brighter future, the princess said.

She highlighted the university’s adoption of HRH Prince Hassan’s vision, who emphasised the need for contemporary learning trends through moving towards less teaching and more learning.
