AMMAN — HH Prince Mired, president of the Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), on Saturday visited several private sector institutions to check on their initiatives to employ people with disabilities.

The visit included Daraghmeh, Burger Makers, Firefly and Rubou Al Quds Markets, where these shops, in cooperation and coordination with the Sana Association, have hired several young people with intellectual disabilities and provided them with a trainer in their first three months of employment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Prince Mired had a firsthand look at the workplace and the nature of skills these employees perform at these institutions, praising their roles in contributing to the economic empowerment of people with disabilities.
