AMMAN — The Higher Council for the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (HCD), the Health Ministry and the “Ibni” initiative on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding to facilitate accessibility of people with disabilities to rehabilitation services at comprehensive health centres.
HCD President HH Prince Mired, Health Minister Feras Al Hawari and Anas Damrah, representative of the “Ibni” initiative, signed the memo, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The memo is a response from the council and the ministry to a request by the initiative that suggested renovating comprehensive health centres to offer treatment services to people with disabilities. Under the memo, the Wadi Al Sir Comprehensive Health Centre will be prepared as a model centre to offer services for people with disabilities before October.
Prince Mired said that the MoU is an important step to improve the level of rehabilitation services offered to people with disabilities.
