PM, House speaker receive anti-corruption commission 2016 report

AMMAN — Prime Minister Hani Mulki on Sunday received the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission’s report for 2016 from its Chairman Mohammad Allaf, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During his meeting with Allaf, Mulki said that combating all forms of financial and administrative corruption is the government’s priority and is a goal of the comprehensive reform programme implemented by Jordan.

Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh also received the report and affirmed the House’s readiness to receive and consider any legislation proposals pertaining to the commission and its law, Petra added.

Tarawneh expressed the House’s appreciation for the commission’s efforts in combating corruption. Allaf briefed the speaker on the work of the commission, stressing the importance of coordination and cooperation between the two parties to serve the country and its citizens, according to Petra.
