AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Al Khasawneh on Tuesday honoured the 30 winners of the 13th edition of the Ideal Employee Award.
During the awarding ceremony, taking place at the Royal Cultural Centre, the PM said that honouring the winning employees coincided with the completion of the themes of the modernisation roadmap, which includes regulations governing political modernisation and the launch of the Economic Modernisation Vision.
He said that the roadmap to modernise the public sector, including the merging of a number of ministries and public institutions, will not affect the rights of employees or result in any layoffs, noting that the merger would take two to four years, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Civil Service Bureau (CSB) President Sameh Nasser said that 863 candidates representing 73 out of the 97 public departments applied for the award, making the participation rate about 75 per cent. He noted that 211 requests were ultimately approved, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
