AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Wednesday continued his consultation meetings with lawmakers through meeting with the Lower House’s Adaleh (justice) bloc.
Khasawneh said that the government’s approach in dealing with the Chamber and citizens will be based on transparency and “will not pledge what it cannot do”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The government, if it receives the House’s vote of confidence, will work with the Chamber in “real partnership” and will contribute to restoring the central role of the Lower House and enhancing the confidence in this legislative and monitoring institution.
Head of the bloc, MP Mijhem Sqour, highlighted the importance of cooperation between the government and the House in accordance to the Constitution in a way that serves higher national interests.
