PM chairs ‘2025 vision’ meeting

AMMAN — The steering committee entrusted with supervising the preparation of a framework for the Kingdom’s economic and social policies, dubbed the “2025 vision”, convened on Saturday to review sectoral committee perspectives on social and economic challenges currently facing the Kingdom.
During a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, participants explored the possibility of addressing these issues at an upcoming national conference.
Planning Minister Ibrahim Saif highlighted consultations with public and private entities as well as donors and civil society institutions, as part of the committees’ work.
He said the subcommittees discussed human resources development, social development designed to alleviate poverty, economic development and decentralisation, and governorate development.
Discussions also dealt with infrastructure services, he added.
