PM attends inauguration of IPA’s renovated headquarters

AMMAN — Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Tuesday attended the inauguration of the renovated headquarters of the Institute of Public Administration (IPA).
The renovation process was implemented in cooperation with USAID, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. During the ceremony, Khasawneh stressed that the government is committed to implementing His Majesty King Abdullah’s directives to reform, develop and activate the public sector and remove any bureaucratic obstacles.
The prime minister said that the IPA, since its establishment in 1968, has provided state institutions with administrative personnel.
He also said that this development phase of the IPA was conducted according to the best international models for global training institutions, in cooperation with USAID. He praised the strategic partnership between Amman and Washington.
US Ambassador to Jordan Henry T. Wooster voiced his country’s support for the government’s efforts to reactivate the institute as a specialised and high-quality trainer for public sector administration.
