AMMAN — Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh on Sunday stressed that the government is committed to move forwards with the Royal Directives issued by His Majesty King Abdullah during his Speech from the Throne, where the King urged increased commitment to cooperation and relentless work to realising the political, economic and administrative modernisation tracks.
Speaking during a Senate session, Khasawneh said that it was his honour to listen to the Speech from the Throne, which included a comprehensive directive after reference plans for the three modernisation courses were endorsed.
The directive came in a bid to make arrangements for the three reform tracks under the flexible separation of powers as is stipulated in the Constitution, as cooperation between different branches of government is necessary for the success of this endeavor, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
He also stressed the need for action to bring about the aspirations of His Majesty’s through cooperation that is based on “believers in the homeland and its ability to realise achievements”, and to prove to the “skeptical minority” that the government can implement Royal directives to the benefit of citizens.
The prime minister also congratulated the Senate President and the other senators for the King’s trust that is invested in them through their appointment to the Upper Chamber.
