PDTRA launches second early warning system

AMMAN — Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) on Saturday launched its second early warning system in collaboration with the Municipal Support Programme funded by the USAID and Arabia Weather. The primary objective of the system is to proactively mitigate the risks associated with various weather emergencies, particularly flash floods, safeguard the well-being of citizens, tourists, archaeological sites, and both public and private assets, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.The system will provide monitoring maps, risk level maps and hourly weather forecasts for the next five days.
