AMMAN — Chief Commissioner of Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority (PDTRA) Suleiman Farajat on Tuesday announced regulations that will be applied to allow visitors entry to the rose-red city as of July.
Farajat told the Jordan News Agency, Petra, that entry to the archaeological site will be allowed on the condition that visitors have had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and / or PCR test for international tourists as of July 1.
He noted that these procedures are in line with the government’s decisions to make “the Golden Triangle” (Aqaba, Petra and Wadi Rum) a safe zone.
