AMMAN — Jordanian-Omani relations are "deeply-rooted" in various fields and are currently witnessing further development, Omani Ambassador to Jordan Sheikh Hilal Bin Marhoon bin Salem Al Maamari said on Friday.
The envoy's remarks came during a ceremony to hand over shields to a number of Jordanian charity associations and institutions, in appreciation of their cooperation with Omani embassy in implementing charitable campaigns and providing various forms of aid to underprivileged people, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Saturday.
He said that Oman attaches "great" importance to charitable work, expressing appreciation of these associations' efforts in serving their communities. In addition, the ambassador noted that the honouring ceremony came as an incentive for these charitable associations and institutions to enhance joint cooperation with the Omani embassy. Heads of Jordanian charities also lauded Omani embassy's role and its cooperation in providing support for charitable and humanitarian work at the ceremony.
