AMMAN — Musicians from Oberlin Conservatory and JOrchestra performed on Sunday in a public concert titled “Musical Crossroads: Melodies from the US and the Orient”, according to a US embassy statement released on Monday.
The concert concluded a one-week outreach project promoted by a group from Oberlin, during which the musicians performed at local schools and other venues and participated in workshops and jam sessions with local musicians.
Oberlin musicians were visiting Jordan as part of a cultural exchange, to experience and learn from Jordanian cultural and musical traditions, and share their musical talents, the statement said. The musicians expressed their deep appreciation for the hospitality of Jordanians, according to the embassy.
