NEPCO launches initiative for automation project

AMMAN — National Electric Power Company (NEPCO) Director Amjad Rawashdehannounced on Thursday the company's initiative for a project to automate data and electrical systems due to the efforts of the Department of Operations, in collaboration with the company’s Information Technology Department. The announcement took place during both departments’ presentation that outlined the project’s functionality and its initial stage development, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Rawashdeh said that the project is in line with the company's strategy and its commitment to developing technical departments in a manner consistent with best practices in the field. He said the project will boost the efficiency of their work, adding that the two departments will continue their preparations for the subsequent phases of the project, following established timelines.
