NDI delegation visits Economic and Social Council

AMMAN — Economic and Social Council President Munther Sharé on Tuesday briefed National Democratic Institute (NDI) President Kenneth Wollack on Jordan’s experience in “social dialogue”, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. Sharé highlighted the council’s reports while Wollack voiced the NDI’s interest in cooperation.
The accompanying delegation also expressed readiness to support Jordan in implementing best practices in decentralisation.
Also on Tuesday, the government’s coordinator on human rights, Basil Tarawneh, reviewed the government’s work to boost human rights.
Tarawneh said Jordan is implementing reforms in legislation, policies and practices to boost human rights. Wollack commended Jordan’s launch of the national comprehensive human rights plan.
