Naua distributes 1,140 tablets to university students to facilitate remote exams

AMMAN — Naua, an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), in coordination with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has distributed 1,140 tablets to public university students.

The ministry, in a statement issued on Tuesday and carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that the devices are a donation from Huawei Jordan and Al Rabban Trading Company, offered through Naua to support national efforts towards the success of e-learning system, including holding online university level final exams and minimising students’ technical problems.

The ministry has given priority to first year students, as well as to students who benefit from the ministry’s student support fund and those who obtained high school degrees from schools located in underprivileged areas.

The statement added that the Naua platform has delivered these devices to the offices of governors across the Kingdom, from which they will be distributed to students on the lists prepared by the ministry for this purpose.

Lauding the support offered through Naua, the ministry said that the donation will contribute in supporting university students to overcome technical problems that may arise while taking online final exams. The ministry called on civil society organisations and companies to donate through the platform to support the national efforts in this regard, stressing that supporting the e-learning system is a “strategic choice” for the Kingdom during this stage.
