AMMAN — The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on Thursday launched a national campaign aimed at providing university students in remote areas with computers.
The ministry, in a statement reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, said that the campaign is intended to help Jordanian university students overcome technical difficulties during their study or during the final examination period.
The ministry called on all civil society institutions, official and private companies, as well as banks to support this campaign and underpin national efforts towards “making the Kingdom’s e-learning system successful, which is a strategic choice for Jordan”.
The ministry will provide the donors with the names of underprivileged students and their phone numbers to distribute the donated devices directly to the students.
