AMMAN — Al Mithaq Al Watani (National Charter) Party on Saturday condemned the Israeli ground operations on Gaza, which involved cutting off telecommunications and isolating Palestinians from the rest of the world.

The party, during a meeting of its political office, said that the the Israeli occupation on Friday night carried out extensive bombardment that lasted for long hours, leading to additional deaths and injuries among Palestinians.

The international community must take swift action to hold Israel accountable for the war crimes, genocide and systematic massacre that have persistedfor weeks and intensified on Friday night, according to a party statement.

The party additionally announced launching a donation campaign aimed at supporting the Gazans' resilience, stressing its full support to the Jordanian stance, led by His Majesty King Abdullah, which calls for an immediate halt of the war, delivery of humanitarian assistance to Gaza and rejects any attempts of displacing Palestinians out of their land.

The new donation campaign followed two blood donation campaigns the party launched in Irbid and Aqaba and after sit-ins that it organised since the outbreak of the war on Gaza, which resulted in thousands of martyrs, mainly children, women and elders.

The party also expressed rejection of attempts to distort the stances of the Kingdom through publishing lies and rumours, noting that any attacks against security institutions and riots, which do not represent the values of the Jordanian society, are completely rejected.
