National Charter Party commends Jordan’s diplomatic efforts

AMMAN — The National Charter Party has commended Jordan's balanced diplomacy led by His Majesty King Abdullah. 

In a statement released on Saturday following its weekly meeting, Hamid Al Batayneh, Assistant Secretary-General for Political and Parliamentary Affairs, highlighted the significant national efforts of Jordanian diplomacy, which have contributed to advancing joint Arab action and embracing openness and transparency as the guiding principles for the future. 

These efforts aim to safeguard the security, stability, and prosperity of the region at the political, economic and social levels.

The statement lauded the state's role in prioritising the Palestinian cause during the Jeddah Conference. It also emphasised the Kingdom's calls for the Israeli government to halt land annexation, settlement construction, violations of land, people, and holy sites, as well as the use of force and violence against Palestinians. 

It also called on the international community to take action to implement international resolutions and work towards a political solution that ends the occupation of the Palestinian territories and leads to the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

Furthermore, the National Charter Party expressed its support for  Jordan’s efforts to monitor the process of Syria's reintegration into the Arab fold, as well as its commitment to assist Syrians in overcoming the crisis, restoring normalcy and reviving relations between Syria and the Arab world.
