KARAK/ZARQA — Mutah University on Saturday named one of its stadiums after Jordanian pilot Muath Kasasbeh, who was killed at the hands of the so-called Islamic State.

The decision was taken in recognition of the pilot’s efforts in defending his country and to set an example for young Jordanians to remember, according to Mutah University President Rida Khawaldeh.

On Friday, Zarqa’s municipal council decided to name a main street in the governorate after Kasasbeh.
