AMMAN — Members of the Jordanian-Egyptian Parliamentary Friendship Committee on Monday discussed Cairo-Amman relations with Egyptian Ambassador to Jordan Sherif Kamel.
The need to build on the outcomes of the Cairo-hosted tripartite summit between His Majesty King Abdullah, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi was also a major topic of the meeting, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Commending the advanced and deep-rooted Jordanian-Egyptian relations, head of the committee MP Nawaf Zyoud said that the panel’s members visited Egypt late last year, where a number of issues related to exports, education and energy were discussed. For his part, Kamel said he would follow up on all the notes put forward during the meeting, Petra reported.
