Ministers discuss plans for Al Bashir Hospital with USAID

AMMAN — Public Works Minister Sami Halaseh and Health Minister Mahmoud Sheyyab on Wednesday met with USAID officials to discuss the proposed designs for the new Al Bashir Hospital emergency department building, the Public Work Ministry said in a statement.
Halaseh said the project, financed by a USAID grant, will cost JD18 million and construction is expected to start in September. Sheyyab noted that the emergency department receives 1,700 patients on average every day.
