Minister of health, Iraqi delegation discuss cooperation

AMMAN — Minister of Health Ghazi Zaben on Sunday said that Jordan has realised many achievements in the health sector, especially in the fields of food and drug administration, advanced pharmaceutical industries and unified procurement operations, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
During a meeting with an Iraqi health delegation, Zaben referred to the progress in the Jordanian pharmaceutical industry that exports to over 100 countries, stressing the Kingdom’s keenness to exchange expertise with Iraq.
Iraqi Ambassador Safia Suhail expressed Iraq’s interest in the cooperation between the public and private health sectors in Jordan. Hazem Jmail, undersecretary of Iraqi ministry of health, said that cooperation between both countries can be developed further, adding that the delegation’s visit aims at furthering discussions between both countries’ relevant institutions in these regards.
