Members of House friendship committee meet Brazilian ambassador

AMMAN — Members of the Jordanian Parliamentary Friendship Committee with Latin and Central American countries and Brazilian Ambassador to Jordan Ruy Amaral on Sunday discussed ways to enhance relations in various fields. Speaking during the meeting, MP Andre Hawari, the association's head, commended the level of the Jordan-Brazil relations, describing them as "distinguished and strong" in all fields, calling on enhancing trade exchange by providing incentives, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The lawmaker also stressed the importance of the Hashemite Custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, noting that Jordan considers the Palestinian cause a top priority. For his part, Amaral said that Jordan and Brazil have had "distinguished and historic" relations over the past seven decades based on mutual respect. Amaral stressed the importance of further strengthening and developing these ties, especially in the commercial and economic sectors.
