AMMAN — Jordan's exports to Brazil saw a “remarkable growth” of 126 per cent during the first six months of 2021, Brazil’s Ambassador to Jordan Ruy Amaral said Tuesday.
Speaking to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Amaral said that Brazilian-Jordanian ties have been characterised by “friendly political dialogue” since the official establishment of diplomatic relations in 1959.
He added that these relations were further boosted after the opening of the Brazilian embassy in Amman and the Jordanian embassy in Brasilia in 1984.
He noted that the Brazilian exports to Jordan reached a historical record in 2019, the year when the Jordanian exports to Brazil grew by 230 per cent before growing again by 100 per cent in 2020.
