AMMAN — A number of masked men on Sunday night reportedly robbed JD9,700 from a safe at an Irbid District Electricity Company (IDECO) station in the north of the governorate, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Monday.
IDECO Director General Ahmad Theinat said that although the station is guarded by a security company, the cash was stolen. Irbid Criminal Investigation Department personnel have started an investigation to identify and arrest the suspects. Theinat said the security company is responsible for reimbursing IDECO if the suspects are not arrested.
