AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) divers on Friday retrieved the body of a 60-year-old man who drowned on Thursday in King Abdullah Canal.
The CDD’s media office said that West Irbid’s rescue personnel recovered the body and transferred it to Muath Bin Jabal Public Hospital, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The canal passes through many neighbourhoods in the Jordan Valley and such accidents are frequent, especially during the summer.
