Legislative and executive authorities working for national interest — House speaker

AMMAN — Lower House Speaker Atef Tarawneh on Wednesday said the legislature and the government are not adversaries but partners working together to serve national interests.
During a meeting with Prime Minister Abdullah Ensour, Tarawneh stressed the importance of changing the stereotypical perception of the House through deputies’ responsible conduct and involvement in teamwork.
Tarawneh also briefed the premier on the House’s achievements.
For his part, Ensour congratulated Tarawneh on his re-election as speaker, pledging commitment to building a complementary relationship between the executive and legislative powers.
