‘Labour Ministry working to enhance work rights of persons with disabilities’

AMMAN — Basel Tarawneh, the government coordinator on human rights, on Saturday launched the second report issued by the Labour Ministry highlighting its progress in the field of human rights.
Tarawneh said the government has taken several measures to enhance the situation of human rights in Jordan.
The report highlights the ministry’s formation of a higher national committee to secure employment for people with disabilities, carrying out inspection campaigns to follow up on this issue.
The ministry also held several capacity-building sessions for its employees, in cooperation with Japan International Cooperation Agency and the Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities, he added.
