AMMAN — Minister of Labour Khaled Bakkar on Thursday met with Iraqi Ambassador to Jordan Omar Barzanji to discuss labour-related issues concerning Iraqi workers in the Kingdom.
Bakkar underscored the “strong historical” ties between Jordan and Iraq, highlighting the ongoing cooperation between the two nations in various fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Barzanji reiterated the “deep-rooted” bilateral relations and the shared positions on issues of mutual interest.
He stressed the embassy’s commitment to working with Jordanian authorities to advance common interests and boost collaboration across different sectors.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Bakkar was presented with a commemorative shield from the Iraqi ambassador as a token of appreciation from Iraq.
