AMMAN — A Kuwaiti man died on Wednesday following a brawl that took place at a restaurant in the capital’s Shmeisani neighbourhood at dawn, according to a security source.
The fight involved the “young” victim and two other Kuwaitis on one side and a woman and three men on the other, Public Security Department (PSD) Spokesperson Maj. Amer Sartawi told The Jordan Times.
“No weapons were used in the fight,” he said, adding that the forensic unit is yet to establish the cause of death.
Police arrested all those involved in the brawl and an investigation into the incident is under way, according to Sartawi.
In a separate incident, the PSD on Tuesday arrested a woman accused of stabbing her husband to death in Salt, 35km northwest of Amman, earlier this week.
The suspect confessed to committing the crime over a “domestic dispute”, according to Sartawi.
The husband, in his thirties, was found dead outside his house on Monday night with multiple stab wounds to the chest.
